Afghanistan, China discuss greater diplomatic engagement

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan and Chinese diplomats have conferred on enhanced diplomatic engagement between the countries.

The Afghan ambassador to China met the deputy head of the Asia department at the Foreign Ministry in Beijing and discussed strengthening of bilateral diplomatic relations.

The Afghan embassy in China tweeted: “Ambassador Sayed Mohiuddin Sadat met Chin Song, deputy head of the Asia department at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Both sides exchanged views on stepping up bilateral political and diplomatic ties, the embassy added.

Without going into details, it said the two sides discussed China’s development aid to Afghanistan, execution of incomplete projects and training Afghans in the technical field.
