Kabul bags 1st position in Khost taekwondo contest

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul squad has won the first position in the eighth round of the International Traditional Taekwondo Federation (ITTA) contest in southeastern Khost province, the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports said on Thursday.

The directorate wrote on its Facebook page that 90 athletes from 10 provinces participated in the competition.

The contests, which got under way 10 days ago, the Kabul taekwondo team won the first position while Herat and Takhar secured second and third slots respectively.

The winners were distributed trophies and letters of appreciation by officials of the Taekwondo Federation of Afghanistan.
