KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Saturday said floods caused by climate change had affected Afghanistan and other South Asian countries.
“Climate-induced floods have affected Afghanistan and other countries in South Asia,” UNICEF tweeted, adding that it left over 15 million boys and girls in need of assistance in 2022.
It has also emphasized that it is very essential to prepare children for life in a world affected by climate change.
“It’s now critical to prepare children to live in a climate-changed world through climate change education,” the organization added.
According to reports, while Afghanistan has no role in causing climate crisis, it is the sixth country affected by climate change in the world.
