KABUL (Pajhwok): Five Daesh or Islamic State affiliates were killed during an operation on their hideout in Kabul last night, the General Directorate of Intelligence said on Sunday.
On its twitter page, the General Directorate of Intelligence wrote that the operation was carried out by its forces in the 500 Famil area in the 15th security district of Kabul city.
It said the slain persons were members of an important network involved in small explosions in Kabul city and were planning to carry out some major destructive activities but they were killed before doing so.
A number of weapons, hand grenades, remote controls and explosives were also recovered from the hideout.
