MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A six-year-old child has shot herself dead while playing with a gun in northern Faryab province, local officials said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Hamidullah Butshikan told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Mujhgan, 6, a resident of the 2nd police district, accidentally shot herself dead while playing with a handgun.”
Butshikan, without providing details about the ownership of the gun, said the incident happened at 2:30pm on Saturday/ Security officials have launched an investigation.
On Wednesday, 17-year-old Ulugh Beg committed suicide in the Khuja Abad area of the same district.
