KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, during his meeting with a delegation of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC), has said no one would be allowed to threaten the security of other countries from Afghanistan.
He told the OIC delegation that Daesh has been defeated and efforts to completely eliminate the group were ongoing, according to a statement issued by the Government Media Center.
PM Akhund met OIC special envoy Afghanistan Tariq Ali Bakheet and assistant secretary-general for political affairs Yousef Al-Dobeay yesterday, the statement said.
Akhund said: “You will see the real facts and the activities of Islamic Emirate in various fields during this trip. Many destructive events occurred during the past two decades. The country was destroyed from every angle, so its reconstruction needs the assistance of the international community especially the OIC”.
The Islamic Emirate succeeded in ending the wars, insecurity and preventing murders, destructions and corruption, if the international community and OIC cooperate, many more developments will be made”, Akhund added.
He said it their policy not to allow anyone to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries or threaten their security. Daesh has been defeated and security forces will continue their efforts to vanquish the group.
Tariq Ali Bakheet said the OIC had created a special fund to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and assist the country in health, education and other sectors.
Bakheet added a delegation of Islamic scholars will also visit Afghanistan in near future and that the OIC wanted a brotherly interaction with the Islamic Emirate.
The OIC special representative admired IEA efforts regarding security, corruption and counternarcotics and added the OIC would stand with Afghanistan and continue its cooperation for achieving prosperity, stability and development.
Separately, the OIC delegation also called on acting Interior Minister Serajuddin Haqqani who called the role of OIC as important in Islamic society and assured tightened security for the OIC office in Kabul.
Haqqani called a secure and peaceful Afghanistan in the interest of the world and regional countries.
