SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Education Department of northern Sar-i-Pul province on Friday organized the Seerat-un-Nabi (life of the prophet PBUH) contest with the participation of hundreds school students (boys and girls).
Mawlawi Mohammad Rahman, director of education, said: “Fortunately, we were able to organize this contest which was participated by 1,100 school students (girls and boys) of Sar-i-Pul.”
He said the purpose of holding this test was to make students aware of the life and accomplishments of the prophet (PBUH) and to motivate the teenagers to study.
He added from first to 10 position holders would be awarded with financial gifts, computers and bicycles after an announcement.
Mahboob Shah, one of the participants of Seerat-un-Nabi program, told Pajhwok that such contests motivate the students and teenagers to study well and improve their information.
Nasima, another participant, said: “I have been studying Seerat-un-Nabi for a year, I’m glad that the education department organized this contest and those who love the prophet will prove their abilities.”
