KABUL (Pajhwok): Members of the Afghanistan Money Changers Union have demanded government support at a time when the banking system of the country has been crippled and the entire reliance was on money changers, according to a statement on Friday.
In a statement, the presidential said that Political Aide of Deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Abdul Kabir met with Money Changers Union Head Merza Mohammad Katawazai and its members at presidential Palace.
They said that during the crippling banking system of Afghanistan the entire pressure was on money changers and they demanded government support in these circumstances.
The money changers union head said: “Money changers played the role of bridged between the government and masses and all the export and import of the country was taking place through money changers.”
Political Affairs Aide Mawlavi Abdul Kabir assured money changers every kind of support and said their demands and suggestions would be shared with relevant authorities to address the issue
