KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamabad and Ankara will continue to work together for eliminating the effects of the humanitarian crisis faced by the Afghans, says the Turkish president.

At a joint media briefing with Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan underlined the need for establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Turkish media quoted him as saying that bringing stability to the war-battered country was imperative to deal with common threats and risks.

To mitigate the humanitarian crisis that “our Afghan brothers and sisters are facing, we will continue to cooperate and collaborate together.”

He went on to reaffirm Turkey’s solid support to Pakistan’s efforts to battle the scourge of terrorism and extremism.
