KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Bareshna Shirkat (DABS) or power utility on Thursday said electricity in 12 provinces, including Kabul, will remain suspended from 7am (Friday) until the end of the day.
On its twitter account, DABS said it was carrying out maintenance works on the 220 kilovolt power lines from Uzbekistan in order to prevent unexpected outages in winter.
For this reason, electricity will be cut off in 12 provinces, including Kabul, from 7am tomorrow until the end of the day.
Electricity will remain suspended in capital Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjsher, Nangarhar, Laghman, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Maidan Wardak and Ghazni provinces and some areas of Baghlan province from Friday morning until the end of the day.
DABS said its technicians would try to complete the maintenance works as soon as possible.
The company said relevant departments in the mentioned provinces had been informed to take advantage of this opportunity and complete repair works in the general field networks.
