TALOQAN (Pajhwok): A private hospital has been inaugurated in northern Takhar province which will provide free treatment to the people for six months.
Dr. Khalil Hasaas, head of the Jamshid Private Hospital, said the 20-bed hospital has been built at the cost of over $200,000 in Taloqan City.
He said this hospital operates in orthopedics, pediatrics, cardiography, x-ray, gynecology and other departments.
He said patients who are economically not sound will get free treatment in the hospital.
During the inauguration ceremony, some people termed the presence of female doctors in the hospital vital.
Eng. Mohammad Qasim, a former member of the Provincial Council, said the presence of female doctors was vital in the hospitals and urged the acting government to work for the reopening of girls school above class sixth.
Makhdom Atiqullah Qanit, deputy public health director, assured the people regarding the provision of best health services in the province.
This comes that the people of Takhar province have complained against economic problems, higher drug rates and the lack of health services in private and state-run hospitals.
