KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Finance says goods worth 65.8 billion afghanis imported to the country during the first seven months of the current year were exempted from customs duty.
The ministry in a statement said Afghanistan currently needed a lot of humanitarian aid and its priority was to facilitate international organizations using ASYCUDA system to further ease and speed up the procedures of customs and tax duties.
The statement said humanitarian goods from international humanitarian organizations worth 65.8 billion afs including medicines, medical machinery and food items were exempted from customs duty.
