KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 740 displaced persons have been distributed cash and winter clothes in central Kapesa province, an official said on Monday.
Mawlavi Sabir Ahmad, Head of the Natural Disaster Management Authority, said as a result of past wars, natural disasters and displacement each vulnerable family was distributed $200, three blankets and 18 types of winter clothes by the International Organisation of Migration (IoM).
He said these families belonged to Hisa-i-Awal, Doim, Tagab, Nijrab, Ala Sae and provincial capital and surveyed by the officials of Natural Disaster Management Authority earlier.
