Yaqoob, UAE president talk bilateral cooperation

KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting defense minister has met the United Arab Emirates (UAE) president on the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

The Ministry of Defence tweeted on Monday that Mullah Yaqoob Mujahid held talks with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday.

A delegation led by the acting defence minister is currently in the UAE for talks on issues of common interest, including greater bilateral cooperation.

The two sides discussed Afghanistan-UAE cooperation and other matters of mutual interest the ministry wrote on its Twitter handle.

Yaqoob also met a number of Afghan citizens and businessmen in the UAE, the ministry said.
