Nearly 900,000 Afghan children to suffer from severe wasting

KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) says in 2023 around 875,000 children in Afghanistan are still expected to suffer from severe wasting.

UNICEF tweeted: “Green= healthy! But in 2023, around 875,000 children in Afghanistan are still expected to suffer from severe wasting.”

The organization said it needed urgent support to help threat these children next year and to help prevent malnutrition before it takes hold.
