KUNDUZ/MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): Five people were killed and 28 others injured in a traffic accident in the Aliabad district of northern Kunduz province, police said on Sunday.
Kunduz police in a statement said the predawn accident took place in Zanjir area at about 2am Sunday when a 404 bus skidded off the road and overturned.
The statement added that five people, including children, were killed and 28 others were injured in the mishap, blaming it on the driver’s carelessness.
The injured have been taken to hospital.
Elsewhere, a woman was killed and three others were injured when a flying coach overturned in the Behsud district of central Maidan Wardak province.
Police in a statement sent to Pajhwok Afghan News said the accident took place in Sartala area on Sunday afternoon.
