KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has been formed under the leadership of the deputy prime minister for economic affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
Bakhtar News agency tweeted that the commission was created in compliance with the decree from supreme leader of “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.”
Mullah Bardar would be leading the NPC, the source added.
It said the commission was established in order to ensure transparency, providing effective services, finding solutions to procurement problems and organizing procurement affairs.
In 1393 solar year, based on a decree former president Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Authority in the framework of the Administrative Affairs Office was established.
Also, according to the decree No. 75, of the former president, the national procurement commission was created, but the commission suspended after the caretaker government came to power.
