KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on Sunday it had repaired and operationalized two more aircrafts (MI-35 and C-208) related to the Afghan Air Forces (AAF).
The aircraft had been repaired by MoD technicians and engineers, a statement from the ministry said.
The technicians are still working to restore and make operational other grounded planes as well.
The ministry had reported about restoring some aircraft in the past as well. The technicians and engineers have so far repaired about 60-winged planes and ready to fly.
Some reports alleged the US forces had destroyed some AAF aircraft prior to their withdrawal last year.
The reports said US forces had left behind 73 aircraft in Afghanistan. But CENTCOM chief Gen. Kenneth McKenzie had claimed the aircraft would never fly again.
