UNSC to discuss Afghanistan report tomorrow

KABUL (Pajhwok): In his latest report on Afghanistan, UN secretary general Antonio Guterres says the country must deliver on its commitments to international principles, norms and standards against discrimination, inequity, inequality, injustice and impunity.

UNAMA said the latest quarterly report by UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the situation in Afghanistan and the activities of the United Nations in the country is now available.

The UN Security Council is scheduled to discuss the report tomorrow (December 20) 10:00 New York time (19:30 Kabul local).

There will be a live webcast on UN Web TV, where Roza Otunbayeva, the Secretary-General's Special Representative for Afghanistan, will deliver her remarks.
