CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): A mosque, also a seminary, has been constructed in central Parwan province at a cost of 174 million afghanis, an official said on Saturday.
The mosque and seminary were constructed in Chekal area of Charikar city by a charitable foundation.
Mohibullah Naseri, head of the “Naseri Charitable Foundation” said that the seminary and mosque was spread over 2.5 acres of land.
The structure has a large assembly hall, a dormitory which has 16 rooms with a capacity of accommodating 300 students and ablution facilities and modern and standard bathrooms and a canteen and green area.
He added car parking facility was also available.
Maulvi Obaidullah Aminzadeh, the governor of Parwan, praised the construction of the mosque-seminary during its inauguration ceremony and asked investors to invest in the education sector.
Meanwhile, Mufti Shafiullah Siddiqui, head of Hajj and Auqaf in Parwan province, also said: “You should not limit yourself to building one or two mosques, build such places in every corner of the country so that the children of this country have access to education.”
