KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Food and Drug Authority says 210 tons of poor quality food items and medicines have been destroyed and asks traders to avoid importing such materials.
NFDA in a statement said these items had been quarantined in the customs offices and were destroyed in the Gazak area of Bagrami district.
Abdul Bari Omar, director of the authority, on the occasion urged traders and businesspeople to avoid importing sub-standard items against international standards.
