SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Five people have been arrested in connection with hunting wild birds in the Gosfandi district of northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Monday.
Police spokesman Din Mohammad Nazari said security forces detained the five individuals for the illegal hunting of birds in the Aulma village of the district.
“A Kalashnikov and two shot guns were recovered from the detainees and their cases will be referred to judicial organs after initial investigations,” he added.
The hunting of wild birds has been banned across the country by the incumbent Taliban administration.
