KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Defense on Tuesday confirmed the killing of 20 “Resistance Front” fighters including two commanders during clashes with security forces in the Andarab district of northern Baghlan province.

Amu website reported that Khair Mohammad Khairkhwa, a commander of the Resistance Front, was killed along with 20 members during a firefight with security forces.

Enayatullah Khorazami, a spokesman for MoD, confirmed the report, but did not provide details.

Sibghatullah Ahmadi, a spokesman for the Resistance Front, tweeted that their two commanders, Khair Mohammad Khairkhwa and Ghazni Murad, were killed along with their men after running out of ammunition.
