KABUL (Pajhwok): Schools and universities will reopen across the country for girl students by the beginning of the new solar year, says the minister of mines and petroleum.
Shahabuddin Delawar said steps were being taken by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) to resume the education process.
Education curriculum for schools and universities would be ready by next month, the minister said, promising a Sharia-compliant environment.
Once such reforms were put in place, Delawar assured universities and schools across the country would be opened for girls.
A decision would be taken on the schools and universities by the end of March, the minister told reporters in Kabul on Tuesday.
