Salang highway closed for cargo vehicles

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The Salang Highway that connects Kabul with northern provinces has been closed for cargo trucks due to heavy snowfall, an official said on Thursday.

Hafiz Mohammad Yaqoob, maintenance commander of the highway, the key highway was closed for heavy traffic due to heavy snowfall.

Meanwhile, the Kabul-Ghor and Ghor-Herat highways also closed for traffic due to strong winds and heavy snowfalls.
