KABUL (Pajhwok): A special facility for the treatment and training of disabled and paralyzed persons of the past 40 year of war has been opened in the Sardar Mohammad Dawod Khan’s Hospital in Kabul, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Friday.

On its twitter handled, MoD wrote: “A treatment and caring centre for the disabled and paralyzed persons of the past 40 years of conflict had been opened.”

It added the facility had been opened in line with the special direction of the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ (IEA) direction.

The source said the training centre will provide religious education and vocational training — tailoring, mobile repairing, shoe making — to all disabled and paralyzed persons.

High ranking government personnel participated in the inaugural ceremony of the facility.
