KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan has named a new caretaker of its embassy in Tehran, an Iranian media outlet reported on Tuesday.
The appointment came after the tenure of the current caretaker came to an end, according to Fars News Agency.
An embassy staff member, who was not named, will replace the caretaker, according to the report, which gave no further details.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is expected to make a formal announcement soon in this regard.
Last week, Iranian Presidential Envoy for Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi took charge as the country’s ambassador in Kabul.
