KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Security Council will discuss the ban on Afghan women workers of humanitarian aid groups, says a media report.
Reuters quoted UN diplomats as saying on Wednesday that the United Arab Emirates and Japan had sought the UNSC meeting for January 13.
The caretaker government imposed the ban on women aid workers on December 24 before barring females from university education.
Both decisions sparked widespread criticism and prompted some aid groups to halt operations in Afghanistan.
