Snowfall brings happiness, opportunity for get together

KABUL (Pajhwok): The residents of capital Kabul go to parks and involved in outdoor activity during snowfall saying these days offered opportunity for get together with friends and family members.

Kabul witnessed its second snowfall on Sunday during ongoing winter season. Some people travelled to Qargha park where they could play in the snowy weather and have a fun.

Muzamil with his friends arrived in Qargha Park told Pajhwok Afghan News he came here to eat Shornakod and take the pleasure of snowy weather.

Zalmay, who sell Shornakod on Qargha Road, said during snowy days they have good business comparing to normal days, adding that families also arrived at the site and they made a large number of their customers.

Ajab Gul, a member of the Kabul Municipality Cleanliness Department, said he had been assigned to clean the road and shake the trees from the snow.

He said if he was off today and had a car then he would have come to Qargha Park with his family members for entertainment.

Ahmad, a local resident and a student, arrived in the Qargha site along with his friends for horse raiding.

He said he came to Qargha after his friends stressed otherwise he was not willing to come.

Meanwhile, Abdullah, who brought his horse to Band Gargha for horse riding, says that on snowy days, his business flourishes and more people use his horse for horse riding

But such snowy day is not good for everyone, and for many, because they have no enough food and a warm house, it is like another hard day, and they try to get a piece of bread for their families all day long

Naseer is one of these people who is not having a good time this day; He polishes shoes and is responsible for bringing bread to his family of 5 people. On snowy days he cannot even earn 30 afghanis due to the lack of customers.
