Herat electricity cut off due to technical fault

KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat says electricity imported from Turkmenistan to western Herat province has been cut off due to technical issues.

The power utility tweeted that the Turkmenistan-Herat electricity was cut off due to a short circuit on Tuesday night at around 11:00pm.

Technical teams had been dispatched but they could not reach the area due to snowstorms in order to fix the issue, the power utility added.

According to DABS, half of Robat-i-Sang district and Herat city will remain in dark until the problem is resolved.
