Kidnapped Kabul girl recovered in Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A 16-year-old girls kidnapped from Kabul province has been recovered in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Thursday.

Governor Spokesperson Haji Zaid told Pajhwok Afghan News the kidnapped girls name is Marzina and which was abducted from the Shakardara district of capital Kabul one week earlier.

He said the girl was recovered by security personnel from the Kabul Bus Station area and one alleged kidnapper was also arrested.

Kandahar Voice and Virtue Department Director Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Tayyibi said they told all drivers not to transfer a lady without her family member and this help in the recovery of kidnapped girls.

“We want people to take care of their female family members and not allow them to move alone,” he said.

The father of kidnapped girl is happy that his daughter had been recovered.
