KABUL (Pajhwok): The Qatari foreign minister and the UN deputy secretary-general have reviewed recent developments in Afghanistan.
At a meeting in Doha on Wednesday, the two sides also discussed coordination between Qatar and the UN on Afghanistan, according to the Qatar News Agency.
Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohamed exchanged views on the current situation in the war-hit country.
The minister reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting Afghan people faced with difficult humanitarian conditions. He underlined the importance of multilateral action led by UN agencies to alleviate the conditions.
