PARAKH (Pajhwok): Over 650 domestic animals — sheep, goats and cows — have been lost as a result of severe cold weather in central Panjshir province, an official said on Wednesday.
Agriculture Director Hafiz Abdul Mojeeb Moshfiq told Pajhwok Afghan News 530 sheep, goats and 125 cows have been lost due to severe cold in six districts and provincial capital.
He said most domestic animals had been lost in the Paryan district because most people in Paryan were associated with agriculture and it is one of the far-flung areas of the country.
