Qomi formally starts job as Iran’s new ambassador

KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran’s new ambassador to Afghanistan Hassan Kazmi Qomi arrived in Kabul on Saturday and formally started his job, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul says.

On its twitter page, the Embassy of Iran wrote that Qomi, keeping his previous job, officially assumed change as the new ambassador of Iran.

He previously served as Iran’s president special representative for Afghanistan for several years and has also worked at the Iranian consulate in Herat province.

Qomi replaces Dr. Bahadur Aminian whose three-year tenure ended in December, 2022.
