MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A fire swept through the police headquarters’ building in Dehdad district of northern Balkh province, causing a loss of about one million afghanis.
Police spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri told Pajhwok Afghan News the fire broke out due to an electric short circuit on Saturday evening at around 5:30pm.
According to him, the police station of Dehdadi district was gutted in the blaze and a number of military ammunitions also burnt to ashes.
