KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): An eight-member team of the Kandahar Technical and Vocational Training Institute (TVTI) headed by Jameel Ahmad Qureshi have made a news care during two years period.
Boyak 1910 — is the name of the newly made car, its engine and related parts are from another car while the body and other parts are newly designed and made.
“It cost $400 and eight persons in two teams have worked on it. One four member team worked on its body and the second team worked on its engine and related parts,” said Jameel who was honored with 350,000 afs.
An event was organized in the General Garden of Kandahar City to introduce that car, it was attended by officials, businessmen and guests from Kabul.
He said, he was thrilled by the exhibition event organized for the car, adding that support from officials and businessmen will encourage them for more innovations in the future.
The Kandahar TVTI officials said that makers of this car completed their studies in Engine Developing Branch of the institute.
Maulvi Abdul Wadood, a senior official of the department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the youths made wonderful innovation which will encourage more youth to invent new things.
He said: “These inventors are our asset, they had been disappointed in the past, but we are cooperating with them to make more inventions.”
Mohammad Wali Hotak, a businessman and a participant in the happening, linked the creation to the blessing of education which enabled the youths to generate such a car with limited resources.
He noted:” it’s a great pride that our youth have made such an initiation with so little facilities, if we study the invention from a different angle, it’s all the blessing of education and the world is moving ahead by the virtue of education.”
At the end of the ceremony, the car manufacturing group was granted 100,000 Afs by deputy governor Maulvi Hayatullah Mobarak, 100,000 afs by provincial chamber of commerce and investment, 50,000 afs by Afghanistan vocational and technical education institute, 50,000 afs by vocational and technical director Hafez Karimullah and 50,000 afs by a member of Islamic Emirate General Mobin.
Earlier, a newly made car was put on displayed in capital Kabul that received admiration and appreciation from the public and officials.
