HERAT (Pajhwok): A man shot and killed his wife and mother-in-law in the Kuhestan district of western Herat province and fled on Monday, an official said.
Herat governor’s spokesman Hamidullah Mutawakkil told Pajhwok Afghan News the early morning incident happened in Islam Kala township of the district.
He said a person identified as Iraj first shot dead his wife and then his mother-in-law before making his escape good.
Linking the double murder to domestic violence, the local administration said an investigation was underway.
