BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): A woman in the Yakawalang and a girl in the Saigahan district of central Bamyan province have committed suicide, an official said on Monday.
Police Spokesperson Mohammad Khawani told Pajhwok Afghan News a 50-year-old woman committed suicide by eating poison in the Sar Qaul area of YakawalangNo.1 district on Sunday.
Separately, he added a 16-year-old girl also poisoned herself to death by in the Saighan district.
The motive behind the incident was yet to be known, he noted, adding investigation was ongoing in this regard.
