15-year-old Baghlan boy commits suicide

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): A 15-year-old boy has committed suicide in the Deh Sala district of northern Baghlan province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Sher Ahmad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News Omid claimed his life in Dezak village after a verbal clash with his father.

He said: “The father slapped Omid and in reaction he committed suicide by hanging himself.”

Abdul Dayan, the father of Omid, in a video clip standing in front of his son’s body, and said: “I told my wife while leaving for shopping to send Omid to the shop and one hour later I was informed about his death.”
