KABUL (Pajhwok): The European Union says power shortages, banking crisis and bans on female workers are the main challenges for Afghanistan’s private sector.
The EU tweeted: “Together w/ @melindagood@worldbank, we convened 25+ #Afghan business &, SMEs & large entreprises to understand the challenges & expectations of the private sector in #Afghanistan.”
Melinda Good, World Bank country director, and over 25 Afghan businesswomen and traders participated in the meeting.
The EU Mission in Afghanistan said power outages, the banking crisis and restrictions on women’s jobs were among the main challenges for the private sector in Afghanistan.
