PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): More than 40 people were killed as a passenger coach plunged into a ravine in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Sunday morning.
The ill-fated bus vehicle, carrying 48 passengers from Quetta to the port city of Karachi, met the tragedy in Lasbela district before dawn. At least 41 of them were burnt to death.
Lasbela Assistant Commissioner Hamza Anjum linked the accident to speeding. He told Dawn the coach ploughed into the pillar of a bridge while taking a U-turn.
As a result, the official said, the vehicle careened into a ravine before catching fire . . .
