FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Two individuals have been detained in connection with smuggling 400 kilograms of a chemical used in the manufacture of illicit drugs in northeastern Badakhshan province.
The media office at the police headquarters told Pajhwok Afghan News the smugglers trying to transfer the ammonium chloride to a neighbouring province were arrested in Kishm district.
It added the men, hailing from central Logar province, were arrested in Pul-i-Begum area before being referred to judicial organs for investigations.
