KABUL (Pajhwok): District name and expiry date has been added to the new format of the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), according to the National Statistics and Information Authority (ASIA) on Wednesday.
The purpose behind the addition of district name was improved identification of the CNIC holder and a 10 year period of validity was also added.
Every individual will be able to renew his biometric information after during the renewal of the ID card as well as his photograph. It is worth mentioning that the name of NSIA has been replaced with the name of the Ministry of Interior . . .
