KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan scored 24 points and ranked 150th out of total 180 countries in the world on the Transparency International (TI) corruption perception index for 2022.
TI is a global movement working in over 100 countries to end the injustice of corruption.
Its vision is to fight for social and economic justice, human rights, peace and security.
In its recently published report the anti-corruption watchdog placed Afghanistan 150th county on its list and revealed that the country made progressed by 24 points in anti-corruption sector.
Last year, according to TI report Afghanistan was 174th country on its list.
Pakistan, which is Afghanistan’s neighbor scored 27 points and ranked 140th country, while Iran scored 25 points and ranked 147th country on it’s the TI list.
Denmark was ranked No. corruption free country, Finland second while New Zealand third corruptions free country. Somalia was ranked the most corrupt nation in the world.
