Teenager gunned down in Sar-i-Pul capital

SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a 17-year-old boy in the capital of northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Din Mohammad Nazari told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The teenager, Mobin, son of Kamalddin, resident of Shahr-i-Naw area, was shot dead at 6:30pm on Monday night.”

He said the motive behind the incident was not yet known but one suspect had been detained in connection with the murder.
