KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) says a fresh cash package of $40 million has arrived in Kabul as a part of global humanitarian assistance.
The central bank tweeted: “The $40 million aid package reached a commercial bank in Kabul on Wednesday.”
The DAB leadership welcomed the humanitarian aid to the country from the international community, hoping it would be spent through the banking sector.
According to a Pajhwok report, Afghanistan has received over $1.7 billion in humanitarian aid during the past 12 months.
Economic experts say the international humanitarian aid has been effective in mitigating problems and has a positive impact on people’s lives.
