DAB set to auction $17m tomorrow

KABUL (Pajhwok): In an attempt to keep the afghani stable, the central bank is auctioning $17 million tomorrow (Sunday).

While announcing the auction, Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) asked eligible private banks and money-exchange firms to participate in it.

DAB tweeted the successful bidders would have to settle their accounts by the end of the day. A limited settlement of transactions is not acceptable.

DAB said the winning bidder should settle their accounts by the end of the auction day, adding partial settlement of transactions was not allowed and the winner of the tender had to deposit the money once in cash and within a certain period of time.

The DAB auctioned $752 million during the last ten months of the current 1401 solar year in order to keep the afghani stable.
