KABUL (Pajhwok): Uzbekistan has resumed freight trains to Afghanistan through the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway line after an agreement.
The Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) says the transportation of transit commercial goods by train from Uzbekistan has resumed.
ARA spokesman Abdul Sami Durrani in a video clip said a delegation led by ARA chief Bakht-ul-Rahman Sharafat traveled to Uzbekistan last week.
The delegation held talks with Uzbek officials on the transition of responsibilities of the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway line to the Afghan side.
