KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) announced on Monday the arrival of a fresh cash package of $40 million in Kabul as a part of global humanitarian assistance.
The central bank tweeted: “The $40 million aid package landed in a commercial bank in Kabul on today.”
The DAB leadership welcomed the global humanitarian aid to the country, hoping it would be spent through the banking sector.
According to a Pajhwok report, Afghanistan has received over $1.8 billion in humanitarian aid in 54 packages over the past 12 months.
