KABUL (Pajhwok): Three Daesh insurgents were killed and one arrested during a raid on their hideout in capital Kabul, the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) said on Wednesday.
On it twitter handle GDI wrote: “The GDI personnel conducted a raid on the Khawaraj insurgents in the Kart-i-Naw area of Kabul in which three Daesh insurgents were killed and one arrested. Weapons and some electric equipment were also recovered.”
Zabihullah Mujahid, the acting government spokesperson, said operation against an important Daesh hideout conducted and a number of individuals were killed.
Mujahid said, it was an important ‘Khawarej’ group involved in latest Kabul attacks; foreign insurgents are also included in the group.
The residents of locality on their social media handle wrote that several blasts, light and heavy gunshots were heard and fighting was underway for several hours.
